Uncle Sam

Uncle Sam

America elected their first black-american president. And Barack Obama became the 44th president of United States.  It is scary when you realize that the first three american presidents could have owned Barack Obama as a property. Well, this is a historical moment for the mankind.

This election has made history in many folds. One such is the record turn outs; One third of america voted during the early voting. And above all, it was the women and young new voters who played the key role in deciding the president.

I tend to believe that the women and young voters chose obama because they weren’t polarized by the views of one Main Stream media, whether its Fox or CNN or anything. To people who I talked to and chatted over email and IM in past few days said, they got the information primarily from the Internet. And thats where Obama scored. He was active in twitter, friendfeed, facebook, myspace, flickr. He added everyone who  added him as friend. He posted picture on flickr .; even pictures of his family. It protrayed a picture that he do care about people and he is just one of us. Often times I had noticed that he is mentioning a point which was discussed in friendfeed. It may not be true that he is reading every friendfeed comment, but some one in his team is watching all these.

Good luck Mr. President
