I am Ranjith Antony. I was born and brought up in Kerala, India. I got a ride on the bubble and got here in the land of opportunities, USA. Ever since; I am trying to make a living here. After moving around for a while, now I live in Fort Kent, ME; a small rural village in the North Eastern tip of USA, with my wife and a Son.

I started a blog in 2001 in an attempt to improve my writing skills. But honestly, I was never been able to seriously try on that. This is my third attempt on blogging. Anyhow, I would say; I marginally accomplished my aim. I did wrote a book . However, I would attribute any success what so ever to my wonderful co-author Bruce Hopkins.

I am a geek by day. I like programming, tech toys, gadgets or anything with a power button and a wire. I get excited about everything web 2.0 and sign up for it immediately. So, I am all over the place; I am on twitter, FriendFeed, Orkut, Facebook, you name it. I usually go by the handle rptony. Feel free to add me and I will add you too.

I am an amateur photographer. I take pictures and upload it to flickr.

I work for Pelco, a division of Schneider Electric and write code to Secure People and Property at Millions of locations around the world. The opinions expressed here are mine and mine only.

I see blogging as a tremendous opportunity for learning. I will be posting some marginal hacks and often some random thoughts here. It would be no where near to the wonderful code you wrote or great idea you had heard. But as I said, I am here to learn. So please help me on this learning saga. Please forgive any outright blunders and help me correct it.
